Application: HBS-A600 is a tallow based saturated alkyl bis(2-hydroxyethyl) amine. HBS-A600 is an internal antistatic additive that can be used in various polymers such as PE, LLDPE, PP, SAN and ABS. HBS-A600 gives sustained antistatic action and shows excellent thermal stability due to its saturated alkyl chain. This makes HBS-A600 especially suitable for those applications needing higher processing temperatures.
HBS-A600 is a solid at ambient temperatures. When heated at 50-55℃, the product can be dosed as a liquid directly into the polymer by using a single or twin-screw extruder.
Pigment or color concentrates should be mixed with the antistatic agent prior to extruding. Premixing ensures uniform distribution of HBS-A600 in the resin while HBS-A600 acts as a dispersion aid to the pigment color concentrate.
After being mixed into the polymer HBS-A600 continuously migrates to the surface of the finished product where it provides excellent antistatic performance. HBS-A600 is especially well suitable for those applications needing high processing temperatures.
